    Any info on state campgrounds?

Looking for info on either Cranberry Lake campground or Highley Flow State Park. Any cons or pros for either? Or may be you can recommend another campground in the Tupper Lake - Saranac Lake area?

    Thanks,
    Yan

Meacheam lake campground is very nice. It's down on 30. Instead of taking your right onto 86 to go twords saranac lake, you just go straight and it will be 10 miles or more down on your left. It's got lots of sites on teh water, and some rustic campsites too. i stayed there twice last summer. the 2nd time I called and resreved a waterside site, they are made to accompany rvs, and i jsut had my tent but the views and loaction were amazing. Tons of room, and being on the water u can have yoru kayaks or canoe right down in the water at your site. Lots of loons and owls too. I highly recomend it.

Yeah, Meacham Lake is cool. There's a nice trail to the Debar Wilderness area right out of the campground. If your coming from ON, this would be an easy one to get to.

Someone in another forum recommended me Rollins Pond Campground. Can anyone please help me decide between the two?

            Thanks,
            Yan

Site selection at both is important. Both campgrounds could be considered large with 224 sites at Meacham and 287 at Rollins, so if your not into a big campground scene they might not be to your taste. Rollins might be a little more "Adirondack", whereas Meacham is more Northern Foothills. Well, that probably doesn't help much, heh?
