I was thinking of headin up whiteface maybe tomorrow. I've never been up whiteface and dont really want to walk up teh raod to giet there. I'd be heading up from wilmington, either from the resivoir or from the weather station, and was wondering what the trail was like, especialy in the winter, especialyl if its well marked and what not , im not sure if anyone is hiking it today and we got about 6-7 inches of snow here yesterday and its flurrying out now so im sure the trail will probably be covered. I'd be gogin at it alone so Id liek to knwo what im in store for. If it seems to be too much of a challange id rather do a hike which woudl be safer to do solo. Thanx for any help!
Hows whiteface lookin?

do you x-c ski??? if so then go the way of the road!!! its a good time and the glide down is fun.. with the new snow the conditions would be great..
other then that i cant really say how the trails are.. maybe check out vftt for conditions from recent travels...
have fun. my wife (sara) and i will be skiing into flowed lands via upper works...i can;t wait!!
happy hiking/skiing -
i x-c ski but im horrible at it, so more or less i try to X-C ski. Most of the time i go out intot he back woods and try it , never really on groomed trails so i have a hader time breaking trail and not really doing much gliding. I'm not so sure how well id do with skiing up teh whole time either! and gogin down god knows what would happen!"It's not where your from, it's where your at."Comment
