    Best peak to view sunrise?

Any thoughts on great peaks to watch the sunrise from? We'll have about 2 hr's to get up there, and it doesn't neccessarily have to be a high peak. Thanks for any thoughts shared!

5th Mtn. in the Tongue Range above Lake George (handy leanto nearby).
Buck Mtn, Black Mtn. on the east shore of Lake George.
Prospect Mtn. actually has a nice sunrise view and is very accessible.
In the HP I would shoot for Whiteface though I've never gone for sunrise there; however it is accessible (you can probably sneak mtn. bikes up early), & has good placement looking southeast.
Blue Mtn. would probably also have a great angle, though again that's one I haven't seen sunrise from.

Cascade is a simple and easy climb with excellent sunrise few of most of the HP's

I've done Algonquin close to sunrise, and picked it because the best views from the summit are looking east across most of the rest of the high peaks region. It's a relatively short hike too, though it is a pretty steep ascent for the last half.

I also did Santanoni around sunrise and while it offers a nice view comparable to Algonquin looking east, it's a pretty long hike from the trailhead.

Ampersand would also have some great eastward facing views.

Here is a sunrise mountain dream hike:

Hike to the top of Basin and look towards Haystack. As the sun comes up, the red-illuminated haystack Mt. will be beautifully silhouetted against the blue sky. Should make some great pictures in summer or winter.
