Lodging near Saranac Lake Recommendations

It's been several years since my wife and I have been camping or even out of the house due to medical issues...so no more camping for us....

But, we would like to get out of the house and enjoy some excellent restaurants that we miss going to, such as The Cellar neat Long Lake and The Shamrock north of Saranac Lake.

So I wonder about renting a room for a week or two somewhere within a 45 minutes drive of Saranac Lake.

We never looked at rooms during the years that we camped so I wonder if anyone could provide recommendations a place to stay. Preferably something similar to camping...ie. simple room, campfire at night.... Not sure if such a place could stay in business very long.... but anyhow ... somewhere basic.....

We stayed at an ABnB 2 years ago that sort of fits that. A 1 bedroom top half of garage. No adjacent houses. View and access St Regis Pond. Fire ring. 10 minutes outside of Saranac. Around $100 per night. Should I hunt for name?

There's no great hurry.

You'll probably wake up at three in the morning next month and have the name... unable to get back to sleep....
