    Great Site

While searching for info on the Santanoni Range I found this great site.
Alavigne.net . Click on Adirondack Mountains. There is a lot of very useful info here. GPS coordinates and GPS routes superimposed on maps are great. The pictures are also good so you know what to look for. I feel much better prepared for this weekend's hike.
Also...check out "the crazy eight". I think I want to try that next year.

I love this site. I think its better than any of the books out there.

Yes, a great link! I found the Adirondack High Peaks section particulary well done. Thanks!

Yes...it kinda gave me the fever. I went from a goal of 10 by the end of the year to a goal of 24 by the end of the year.

The Cliff climb in Febuary looked like the way to go.

Found this a while ago, it's in our resource links already (under "maps"). Agreed, great site. I plan on using the coordinates I found here for the santanonis this weekend.

I was just starting to explore off the beaten track and wanted info when I found Lavignes's web site and knew I'd hit gold. I can't believe the time, effort and organisation that must go into creating and maintaining a site of that caliber. He's got a personal gear list creator that's amazing. (I think Kevin created a link to it somewhere.)

I've used his site for quite awhile now. I agree, It's a great one. He's obviously a pro web design guy. It's very well laid out and technical (nuts and bolts). It's pretty hard to find though.
