Saranac Lake Restaurant Recommendations

My family and I will be staying in Saranac Lake shortly and wanted to know if anybody has recommendations for good places to eat.

Red Fox is good. So is Casa del Sol

Does Casa del Sol still exist? I haven't been past it since May 29, but it seemed abandoned.

I drove by Casa del Sol on May 7 and it appeared to be open. I don't see anything on their Facebook page about being closed.

Maybe call them before heading over: (518) 891-2272 (according to FB).

All the above suggestions look like good places.

Downhill Grill on Main St is good. Grizzle T's on Main also. Stay away from the Belvidere it used to be ok but no longer. The Shamrock in Bloomingdale/ Gabriels has great fresh food in a "unique" setting.

I haven't been to the restaurant at the airport myself, but I've heard good things about their breakfasts and lunches

Airport for B'fast

Did it maybe 3 years ago. 4 stars. Light on atmosphere but unique. I'd go back. They had some entertaining stories of celebrity guests.
