    Motel recommendation required

We are going to the North Western Adirondacks from Ontario for the long weekend with a 9 month old baby and would like to stay in a reasonably priced motel in the Tupper/Saranac Lake area. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Yan

    For your consideration: www.hotelsaranac.com.

If I'm staying in Saranac Lake, I'm staying at the Hotel Saranac. Perhaps I'm biased, however. It's operated by Paul Smith's College, and I just happen to graduate from there.

The Lakeview Motel on Rt. 3 in Tupper Lake. (518) 359-2778.

I stayed there this past Saturday night. It was basic, clean and comfortable with no frills except a small refrigerator which was nice. Good location right on Rt. 3 across from the public park and right by a supermarket and some fast food places. $63.00 including taxes for a single.

        Accomodations in the Adirondacks

Here I am again with an accomodations question (only that this time the baby is a year older - time flyes). We are planning to go to the Adirondacks some time in September (by the way, can anyone please tell when do the leaves start turning down there?) and are looking for a cottege kind of thing with a woodburning fireplace, a shower and a flush toilet. Can anyone please recommend something?

        Thanks.

          Hey Yan .

Leaves start turning mid thru late September. Looks like this year's foliage is going to be great!

Here's a place I've stayed that was reasonable. Has a fireplace, shower, and working toilet too! Owners are nice people and attentive. Get a cabin on the pond, the views are nice.
