Happy New Year
On behalf of all of us at the ADK Highpeaks Foundation we want to wish everyone a joyous and prosperous New Year with an abundance of hiking and other outdoor adventures.
We also want to thank all who through their generosity allowed us to continue our mission to support organizations who provide a benefit to the Forest Preserve. While we are a very small, 501 (C) 3 not for profit grassroots organization your support has provided:
A $5,500 grant to the Forest Rangers Foundation to help our amazing Rangers offset costs typically paid out of pocket or purchase needed equipment, training or gear.
A $1,000 grant to the Wilderness Leadership Program at North Country Community College for the purchase of gear to be used in the Winter Practicum.
Though the assistance of the Open Space Institute and The DEC we designed, produced and installed an Historical Interpretive Sign on the Mt. Adams Fire Tower along with the regular yearly maintenance performed by a tremendous group of volunteers.
Cheers,
Jack, Neil, Geoff, Scott and Craig
