2 ADK Birding Festivals - June

Hey, seeing the recent posts on posters interested in Adiirondack birding, there are two birding festival weekends in June with field trips, speakers, programs, etc. It's a great way to learn more about the species in the region and be outdoors (ok, perhaps with a head-net).

You'll find the first one is centered around Paul Smiths VIC and the second one throughout Hamilton County. Their websites have the dates and schedules. If you are in the region hiking, fishing, camping, it might be worth checking out a field trip. Many birdy areas have field trips-Perkins Clearing Rd. top of Whiteface, canoeing on Little Tupper, etc. So whether you like loons, osprey, bald eagle, warblers, hawks, or boreal species, these birding weekends can get you more hooked.

Ever notice that the people who are late
are often much jollier than the people who have to wait for them?

These cute little Robins are nesting in the Spruce Tree in my back yard. I use my binoculars to watch the Mother feeding them and keeping them warm. I find this quite interesting and would like to continue taking photos of them. I took many photos of them today.
