Well, since nobody seems to be seeing moose, where have you seen moose scat?!

My wife and I were hiking about a mile east of the Moose Pond Stream leantos in the southwestern part of the High Peaks wilderness and she pointed to something on the ground and asked me, "What's that?"

It had to be moose scat...it looked like much bigger deer scat but much lighter in color.

Where are you all seeing moose scat? (Might give us an idea where most of the moose are)

I see moose scat on most of my trips. This past spring I saw an abundance between Wolf Pond and Cage Lake in the five ponds; enough for me to remember that is was a lot.

Hey, I'd like to backpack back into Sand Lake from Star Lake...What's the beaver activity like between those two areas?

From the TH to almost Cage is a rutted atv mud hole filled trail. Not recommended as it just sucks. Between Cage and Wolf is a beaver swamp. It was messy last august 2019.
