Last week some moron shot and killed a moose on Goldsmith Road in Sugarbush, NY The moose was left on the side of the road! The DEC is saying it was a 700 pound female and they have an idea who killed the moose, but cannot prove it as yet. I guess I am just venting here. I live on Goldsmith Road and have had moose in our yard several times. We have many sightings throughout the year here and often see moose prints on the road. People have to know that moose are protected in New York. Why would someone do something like this?????? OMG! I'm so angry!!!!!!!!!

I hope they find who did this and they get their licenses revoked and also hope they get some prison time. This is just horrible to do such a crime, then just leave it there. It was just a senseless act!"It is easier to become a Forty-Sixer than to be one. The art of the being is to keep one's sense of wonder after the excitement of the game is over."

Other stupid reasons.
Because I could.
I wanted too.
It ate my garden.
I thought I could get away with it.
I thought it was a moose crossing sign.

Sometimes animals are sick , injured , aggressive . Sometimes it takes time to sort things out .Last edited by backwoodsman; 11-20-2019, 10:54 PM.
