Is it me or Webshots ?

Many times I just give up when the photo's I want to look at are in Webshots.

Is it me or do other people find that place incredibly slow to visit ?

I stink at "computer". .... so any tips will be welcome.

Which is odd because your avatar has you in an office setting with a computer it seems in the background.

This would be akin to me being photographed at a church!

Webshots does seem slow at times but it could also be your internet connection, or browser.

I just recently gave up on webshots, like 2 days ago. A 4 or 5 meg photo would take nearly a minute to load, while Picasa takes about 10 seconds. Big deal, right, but when you upload 50 or 100 photos, it makes quite a difference. Granted, Picasa performs it's own form of compression and Webshots is full res, but these photos are just for sharing. And webshots is slow whether uploading OR viewing. And this happens at home with roadrunner or at work with a T1 line, so connection speed has little to do with these characteristics.

        I learned this trick:

Just use the slideshow feature. It's all the popup ads that slow it down. the slideshow elimnates those ads and the speed is comparable to other sites.

I don't use webshots myself but until I learned that trick I had given up on viewing webshots because it was so darned slow.
