Kind of a photography question I suppose...

5 of us went to Alaska last summer. Had a blast and we're already plotting ways to go back. Anyhow, between all of us we have a TON of hi-res pictures and movies from the trip.

I thought it'd be nice to dump them onto a DVD and make a custom cover and label for everyone. They came out great except for one thing. They work fine on PC's but the DVD's aren't recognized by a DVD player attached to a TV. (As in "normal" home DVD player).

From the research I've done, it seems like I need to get them into slideshow format for that to work. I was hoping there was some freeware around that would simply stuff all of the photos into slideshow format so I could burn them to DVD but I haven't been successful finding any that will do that. I've found some for thirty or forty bucks but this is a one time shot and that's pretty expensive for something that will probably only be used once.

Burning to CD's that will play like that is pretty easy but this would take quite a few CD's and I'd like everything on one disk.

    Any ideas?
