Guest repliedHi PW,Originally posted by paddlewheelI don't believe that you offend anyone...
but you sure do post alot & more often than not it has a tendancy to be something that other folks have a hard time figuring out, or it shys away from the original topic. That's not being offensive....maybe just a little too overly enthusisatic.
I've been guilty of posting before I think things through..I try not to do that anymore...it'll get ya into trouble & you'll just feel dumb about it later...
Knowing I can't manuver the way I used too, with MS,makes my ''fingers do the walking!'' I am here alot.My son now joins in.A guy thing.. On only to ask a question. He and I read Archives and pics . I ''chill'' when I can. I will ''chill'' for the weekend!I work and can take a break, but, like a sneeze,no one can stop me from writing here!!

Guest repliedfor anyone I offend on the Forum,I am sorry.I am hoping to be a loon in the next lifeHi everyone,
I finally signed up and thought I'd post a couple of loon pics I took two summers ago at Little Clear Pond in the St Regis Canoe area. The first one is hanging up in our front hallway. Hope you like the pictures can't wait till I hear the loons again!

Where no one will hear words, just serene cries.
A poem for anyone:
''The Hero''
He is one who listens without criticism,
and kindles a bright light in the dark streets of life.
He writes poems ,as intense as the sun,
and feels ''lightness of being''all his days.''
A Hero is never forgotten. LooncryLeave a comment:

Taken in front of my house. I am looking forward to finding wintering loons next week. I love to search for them while paddling the Gulf of Mexico and so far I have not been disappointed. This one had already started transitoning to winter plumage.
Our loons seem to be very large at home. In the winter their commute is quite short to the sea. Less than an hour. Ergo couch potatoes.Leave a comment:

This was taken on Follensby Clear pond late last September. I'm gonna learn how to take multiple shots with one shutter push this year and hopefully up the number of 'keepers' I get. Can't wait till ice out

Great pics...loons are great!!
Lets try to remember to give the breeding loons, chicks, and nesting areas a wide berth ! It doesn't take much to disturb the natural patterns and upset the natural balance and all of that.
thanks!Leave a comment:

I would love to take some loon photos. I live in Syracuse, and am willing to take a day trip to get some photos. Does anyone know of an area (not way up north in the ADKs) where it is almost guaranteed to be loons right now? I know there are no 100% guarantees, but if I make a long trip, I would like to see some loons!Leave a comment:
