About a year (maybe 2) after the 1995 Derecho in the Adirondacks, a Boy Scout troop wanted to paddle and hike a trek through to the Osewgtchie traverse from Lows Lake. I told them what it would be like, but they wanted me to be their guide anyway for the seoond time. Nobody complained and all had a great time with the adventure.
