    taking camera to Europe

    Hi all,

I thought this might be the best place to post this question. We're going to Europe for two weeks this summer to do some hiking (France, Switzerland). Needless to say, we'll be bringing our digital camera (Nikon 4200). What do we need to know about getting an adapter/converter for the camera? Different brands? Best place to purchase? Thanks.

    Dick,
We also are headed to Europe for a couple of weeks this summer to stay with my cousins in the UK.

Are you speaking of voltage converters from the typical Euro 220-240 to 110-120?

I have a simple converter I bought 25 years ago when I was in th eArmy in Germany I have since bought another about 10 years ago when I used to travel there more often. I don't know the brand, but they are easily available best buy, radio shack or circuit city for $20-$25. Have a great time
