Yes, the same day.It was funny, we took our time going from one overlook to the next, it was very foggy, but all you had to do was wait a minute or two and a new window would open, most people we saw ran up to the edge, saw fog, and ran back to their cars, they missed so much by not waiting a few minutes..

I really like when the sky takes on that wild look over our Adks..and ya know, they really add to views of the canyon also ...produces so many pictures with differant lighting and colorations within probably minutes apart ...for people like you with patience ,you can get some very nice pictures...when we there ...the skies were always bluebird blue..which was nice..so,we hung out at pulloffs and waited til the sunset came to get color changes...it was nice but took all day... still , a very nice trip...did you drive down to Flaggstaff and on into Sedona...? I thought sedona was really pretty with all the RedRock Formations... There we also waited for sundown to get shadow effects on the formations such as Cathedral Rock.

        May, 2006 South Rim Pics

Here are 2 pics I took from the South Rim in May, 2006 - both were tighter shots of the same general area, I think, Chairock.

Very nice Edelweiss! We drove up from Sedona, didn't spend much time there. The trip was worked around a bussiness meeting in Phoenix. We should publish our own book, we do have some nice photos!!
