This fall I did an overnight backpack in the Quehanna Wild Area. The colors were amazing. Quehanna Wild Area is a best kept secret with a web of trails and countless options. It features vast meadows, views, cascades, big rocks, gorges, glens, wild elk, diverse forests and beautiful streams. I hiked a seventeen mile loop, a highlight was the cottongrass superbloom. Acres were covered in white. At night, the display of stars was equally impressive.
