Presidential Range questions

Planning a hike this July in the Whites to do the Presidential Range. I found info on the huts and on a shuttle that runs (for $12, not to bad!).

My main question is this: will we be allowed to take a dog on the shuttle and bring him into the huts?

Plus any tips and pointers would be appreciated. I have never been to the Whites, so talk to me as if I do not know much (probably don't)

I don't know the official AMC policy, but we stayed at Galehead Hut a couple of years ago. There was an AT hiker there with a dog and the dog was not allowed in the hut.

According to http://www.hike-nh.com/clubs/amc/huts.shtml, no pets are allowed at any AMC huts.

I don't think dogs are allowed on the AMC shuttle either, although there are alternative shuttles, such as The Shuttle Connection (http://www.shuttleconnection.com/).
