The smoky mountains are beautiful. Not much in terms of uphill hiking/climbing, but man is it nice out there. The temperate climate makes it easy to go almost year round (it does snow though)

Isn't the Smokey Mountain National Park the most visited national park? It must get crowded, doesn't it?

Unfortunately it has lots of tourists, which obviously takes away from it's beauty, but not too much. The mountains have a lot of history as well that I enjoy and the poeple that you do meet are kind and friendly (a new idea for New York . . . just kidding) So overall its a really nice place to see and experience, but dont expect too much alone time.Comment
