    Water contour maps

Does anyone have a good place to find contour maps of lakes? We are looking for Harris Lake in Essex county specifically for this trip, possily others later. Just looking for something that shows depths, drops offs, shallows, etc. We don't have a GPS, so possibly just looking for something to print? I have looked at Gander Mt and Dick's, but no books there for Essex County.
We are leaving in 2 weeks, so any help would be great!

This DEC site references the lakes by country and is generally useful: http://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/9920.html

Thanks, we have the Sportsman's Connection for the Central Southeastern region, but I couldn't find the Northeastern book. Must've been sold out. I like those books for the maps, but the fishing info isn't always accurate.

Agreed about the printed fishing info...but the depth contours, points drop offs , deep holes and such are what I have been interested in...I have a process where I scan the map and scan a NG topo of the same lake combine the 2 in Photo shop with transparent layers and waypoints pegging the deep holes and drop offs....Then with my handheld GPS and those waypoints loaded I just paddle out to the area of interest and well it is 5000 times better than trying to just eyball and judge where you are on the water with just a contour map and looking for visual based land reference, also if you get into a hot spot the GPS is good for marking a spot for a return vist.

ya I like to fish!!! and plan most my trips around fishing!!!

              Isn't planning half the fun?????
I need to get a GPS, it would make this alot easier. Right now, we just kinda look at the topo's, contours, and landmarks and try to line up with landmarks and remember where i was last time (lol).
