    On a lighter note

Regarding just using the map and compass , (no gps ) I find that if the sun is out , I rarely need to look at my compass and map to know where I'm at. But, on those overcast days ,even following terrain I'm familliar with , one leg seems to get longer than the other Some days my feet want to circle to the right , others , it's to the left. It got so bad last time that I was seriously considering tying a small log or softball sized rock to my left foot.
