Rockwood Forest

Stop by the Fulton Co Highway Dept, on Rt.29 east of the City of Johnstown. Go in the door downstairs on the side across from the jail. They have the snowmobile maps and x-country ski maps there also.

You're absolutely correct in that there appears to be no map online. When we were in there 2 winters ago the trail system seemed to match my GPS maps (garmin mapsource). Don't know if that necessarily helps aside from confirming what map you could use. It appears the entire system is one big loop with a center trail and connecting trails to the outer edges of the loop.

Does anyone have or know where to obtain a map of the current trails in Rockwood State Forest ? I have looked on-line and checked with DEC but with no luck. Thank You for any help.
