Trailhead elevations?

Does anyone know where I can get a list of the elevations at the various trailheads in the high peaks region. I would like to be able to calibrate my altimeter at the start of a hike.

If you look at most maps, there4 is a BM near each trailhead. They give the most accurate info on elevations. They are the ones I use anyway.

This may seem like a silly question but what does BM stand for?

Benchmark, its a surveyors mark that represent a precise elevation. If you look on a map, you'll see a mark that may say, for example, "BM 950". That mean that at that spot the elevation has been documented as 950 meters. (or feet, depending on the map).

Occationally, you run into them in the feild. They kinda look like a summit markers. Most trailheads have a BM somewhere nearby.
