    Bakepacker Outdoor Oven

    Product Tested: Bakepacker Outdoor Oven

    Price paid, where purchased: Adventurefoods.com , $17.49

    Size/Weight: 6" round, 4 oz

    Similar products tried: None

How long/where tested: Mutiple times at home on the stove, several weekends in the ADK's

    Rating 1 to 5: 4 1/2

    Summary:
This device allows you to bake in your cookset. It fits in the bottom of a cookset pot. Then you put in about 1/2" of water, then you put the item you want to bake in a plastic bag that sits on top of the Bakepacker. We have tried several muffin mixes (off the shelf), as well as various items from Adventurefoods that are made specifically for the Bakepacker. The omelets were awesome. Everything we have tried has been really good and adds nicely to the food experience. Clean up is easy as well.

Two downsides that rate it a 4 1/2 instead of a 5: A. When the Bakepacker goes in the cookset my MSR stove won't easily fit anymore. I could force it but then I think the Bakepacker might bend. I need to spend some more time on this and I think I can make it fit. B. Fuel consumption could become an issue as boiling water is what makes the baking possible.
