Purchased a left and right zipper variety of this bag (to mate them for 2 person sleeping). Also used alone.
It's a quality bag and very light weight (which is why we bought it). Definitely rated appropriately, although a poly-pro liner adds a comfort degree of warmth on the coldest nights. I don't allow my gear to get wet, so down has never 'scared' me. [In the winter I prefer synthetic because of the condensation issues. The rest of the year, in which I intend on using this bag, condensation isn't as much of an issue.]
Although they zip together there is a small hole between the zippers (where they meet on the lower portion of the bag). We've been stuffing that hole with a knotted sock and such. Draw string works well.
