  • Trekking poles

I separate the sections when I get home and wipe them down good. Then I spray them with a good silicone spray and reassemble them.

I find that this extends the life of the poles as well as keeping them easy to adjust.

I never separate or collapse mine, find that prolongs their life too!

Oh pooey, these never come in from my car!

My twist-adjust mechanism rusted out so now I always seperate mine even though now I have flicklocks. They're usually wet. Also, when I stow them while on a hike I often take them right apart and stick them in my pack.
