Although the price might seem nice you have to consider the weight, the stuffed size, and the temp ratings. It depends on what is important to you.
One thing that is not debatable is the temperture range you plan on using the bag in.If you are winter hiking in the ADKs you are going to want a -20 to -40 degree bag.If you are just using the bag the other 3 seasons the ratings will be milder. The bag you are looking at seems heavy for a 3 season bag.IMHO. Good luck, there are some threads on bags arond here somewhere if you search for them.Be careful, don't spread invasive species!!

that would seem like a logical concern but at this point i'm just gathering information. the seller has quite a few available as well so have at it!Comment

Try this link, it seemed to have some reasonable prices. I put a particular 3 season bag on it, but you can flip around to one that suits your needs. I was looking for a new one, but I think I can get another year out of the one I have.....

Sorry, no,but I would think weight would determine stuff size to a large degree[ I may be wrong ]. I thumbed through the link myself last night and for not much more $, they had some 4 season bags. I always like a warm sleeping bag and figure you can open it if it gets too hot and if it gets cold your prepared.Check this one at o degree and $44.95.....
It states lightweight and packable and being a slumberjack you could probably find out the exact stats on it elsewhere.Comment

i think my next bag will be focused on size with probably a 15-25 degree rating preferred.Comment

The terms "Military surplus" and "Ultra light" occur together very rarely. I'm not sure what mil spec that bag in your post refers to. The current cold weather system is nice... but it is neither light nor cheap...

i don't work for IMS plus... It was just one of the first sites when looking for the cold weather sleeping system.Comment
