    SPOT Satellite Messenger

Has anyone checked out the SPOT Satellite Messenger?
    See http://www.findmespot.com/
I thought it was an interesting alternative to satellite phones or personal
    locator beacons.
I was considering it, since many of my ADK trips are outside cell phone
    range.
(Please don't turn this into one of those 'depending too much on
electronic gizmos instead of wilderness skills' debates, ok?)
Having different options - (life-threatening, need some help, checking in/ok)
    seems like a good idea.

Here's a recent review on another forum I waste time at.

Thanks Keith. I didn't know that about that forum; have to check it out more. And that was a helpful review.
