I bought a new pair of Vasque Wasatch boots this spring in anticipation of our week long excursion to the Dacks at the end of June. Yes, we spent the week out in all the rain.I got really frustrated with the soles of these boots. They seemed to have almost no "purchase" on rock that wasn't really clean and dry. I got so I didn't trust the boots at all after slipping a number of times, almost going over several cliffs. I never had this happen with my Vaque Sundowners (my buddy on this hike was wearing Sundowners and had no problems).
Has anyone else had this experience with the Wasatch? Its a more comfortable boot than the Sundowner, but if its gonna slip all the time...............
