    Yipee new pack!

I have only been to the High Peaks a few times hiking with my son. Let me say that I don't know very much about hiking but love it. The few times we went we borrowed gear from someone at my sons church and really didn't have any of our own. Well my daughter, out of the blue, hauled off and bought me a pack today. I love that girl!. Anyways before I tear the tag off
I wanted some thoughts from some real hikers as to if she did good and should I keep it. The price on the tag at Gander Mountain was 139.99 but they had it on clearance for 89.99. The model is Mountainsmith Circuit II

I say don't look a gift horse in the mouth! Definitely keep it. Use it, figure out what you like/dislike about the pack, and then buy one of your own if you find it does not suit your needs.

It's not the make of a pack that makes a pack. It's whether or not it is comfortable and rides with ease while your wearing it.
Also like Percious was stating, whether or not it fits your needs, to carry what you'll need to bring.
One Christmas, my boyfriend surprised me and baught me a brand new back pack at EMS. He paid a fortune for it. There was NO WAY I was returning it. It turned out being the best pack I ever owned.
Keep it and give it a try.
