    Dehydrating Questions

Has anyone thought about dehydrating pie filling? I was thinking of trying that out to make poor-man's cobler on the trail...

    It'll work

I'm dehydrating a can of apple pie filling tonight to see how it will turn out. It is driving my family crazy because the house now smells like fresh baked apple pie. I'll let you know how it pans out.

        Ug!

Well, I initially put the apple pie filling in the fruit roll up tray... 24 hours later it was very difficult to get out of the tray because it was so sticky! Oonce I pulled most of it out I placed it on a rack for even flow and that seems to be working better. Still have to see how well it rehydrates... it was really hard to clean up the liquid tray.
