    MSR Simmerlite Fuel Cable Stuck

I have a MSR Simmerlite stove. I believe that a dirty fuel line is the sorce of the stoves recent poor performance. While cleaning it I am unable to get the cable out of the fuel line. According to the instruction manual and the MSR website a stuck cable is often due to debris in the fuel line. They suggest using WD-40 and pliers which I did to no avail. I have tried with all my might. I am worried that if I use and more force to get the cable out I will end up breaking the stove or tearing the line. I have cleaned it the last 2 years with no problems. Has anyone else ever encountered this problem? Any solutions?

I am waiting for a response form MSR via e-mail. My calls have been greeted by a recording that no one is able to answer the call because they are in a weekly meeting.

After a few episodes of poor performance with my whisperlite, I switched to a primus himalaya vari-fuel. I had a heck of a time with the same issue you describe. I sprayed the heck out of it with wd-40 and let it sit. Then did the plier thing. It is clean and works great right now, but I wouldn't ever rely on that stove again, especially in temps below 40 degrees.
