Steep Manufacturer Discounts for Testing Gear

    All,
I don't know if I have brought this up on this forum in the past, but here goes.
About a year ago, I stumbled across a newer maunfacturer "Alps Mountaineering"

ALPS Mountaineering offers a wide selection of tents, sleeping bags, backpacks, and more. Our products are built to last, and we back them with our industry-leading warranty. In-House Customer Service.

Alps makes tents, sleeping bags and backpacks. They have a section on their website for Pro testers (Moutainhouse foods does the same thing)

I signed upo last year and requested an Alps Mystique 2-man tent and got it for 60% off (around $45-$50 bucks and took it out and wrote up my comments and sent them some photos.

I just ordered a taurus 1-man tent and will do the same thing - This was around $40. I got the tent last night and set it up. I will take it out in the coming months.

Their Gear is pretty good for the price especially at 60% off. It is a little heavy, but I think their target market is boy scouts. the gear is probably about the same quality level as Camp Trails.

If you are tight on cash and need some new gear or just enjoy a bargain and don;t mind doing some paperwork - Check them out. You also need to fill out a questionnaire about yourself.
    Cheers
    Rick
