I have done only one winter 46 peak and used pac boots. I am looking for an alternative to the pac boots. They do not offer enough ankle support. My ankels are killing me a day after. I cant really afford the NEOS yet but does anyone know of any inexpensive alternatives.

I recently purchased a pair of Northface Chilkats. I like em and they keep me warm down to about -10. I use them for hiking, with or without crampons. They are very dry.
