do you have a program that saves/creates jpgs?

i have software that came with my HP printer/scanner that will let me choose the compression of my jpgs.

also, lots of software will let you change the resolution. anything over 75dpi is a waste on screen.

      pictures

I have a Cannon digital camera, and I put the jpgs on my desk top. I am using an iBookG4 by Mac. Maybe if I get the pictures in Iphoto I can compress them.

Formatting of pictures and stuff isn't really something I can help with. You'll need to load the image into a photo editting program and adjust it's physical display size. How you do that is up to the editting software you use, and that's very much beyond the scope of the forums.

If you're having problems and are looking for help in learning how to use the photo editting software, first check the software for a tutorial. Most have one. They also have a help topics section that will provide step-by-step instructions for things like "How do I resize my photo", etc. If all else fails, search for "How do I resize my photos with XXX software" on www.google.com .

You have to open the image in an image editor (I use Compupic that I d-loaded and paid about 30 bucks for) and use the tools there to make it fit. ie. crop, reduce resolution, resize, compression. Its trial and error. I guess we'll know when you've suceeded.

Oh, I should note that I can resize it FOR you if you want to send the image to adkforum@yahoo.com

If you only want a portion of the image then tell me what to crop, otherwise I'll just reduce it and email it back to you.

              Photos needing Help!

Here is a photo that needed help. Without aid of sorts, it would not have been able to be posted. This is an example of types of photos NOT to post.

                  HEY Jeff!

I've got a female version of that same picture!

In the interest of political correctness, shouldn't we post that too?
