Well Kevin as I have said numerous times great job! The only suggestion I have is can you tone the color of the background a bit. It really bugs my eyes out after a while....please do not take this the wrong way. Thanks for everything.

      Happy Trails,

        Bandwidth question..

First of all i enjoy having found this with Morrell 12 help (from another board). Looks very promising and hope to be a good citizen.
My question pertains to bandwidth.. how do we use it up... lemgth of posts...numbers of posts or all of the above
i don't want to be wasteful out of ignornce
Again looks very professional and user friendly
        Glad to be aboard..!!

Posts and post length (text) don't matter much, text data is nominal. I'll have to do a spring cleaning every three months or so, but I promise not to delete anything valuable!

The avatars and mainpage logo are being hosted on a separate site that doesn't (supposedly) have any caps on the bandwidth. I don't allow adding large attachments for this reason, and pics have to be hosted on a seperate site. These steps alone cut down a lot on bandwidth usage.

So, at this point, if we exceed our bandwidth that's AWESOME news, because that means we're doing well and I'll immmediately look for either another host or upgrade with this one.

          So, have a blast!

Hey morrell, I'm still kinda in limbo about the whole color thing.

Thanks for the heads up though .

I think we should have a sub-section of the Nature Photography section for people to post links to their photo galleries. This way they would all be in one spot. Also by links to off site galleries we won't be using up space and pages won't load slow for the 56K'ers. Just a thought.

Instead of a section, I think a sticky would suffice (and we'll continuously update the first post/list).

                Good idear

                  Kevin,
That was fast! I think we need to establish the fact that we want links to pictures and galleries in the first post with a little more of a brief explanation of the idea and intent of the thread. I do agree that a "sticky" thread will sufice till we need to possible do more organization.

That's a hot-linking image issue (mtgoat needs to fix this).

I'll PM him about it, kinda annoying

I changed my sig so it won't be a problem anymore. I did notice that when I started using a sig it didn't apply to previous posts??? As to the imagestation hot link issue, I'm not sure what's going on. I deleted my temp internet files and cookies with the browser closed so everything would clear out. Next I came bach here not logged in and din't have any problems seeing anything then called my brother in Anchorage and he saw some of the pics then after refeshing the page had all of them. So I am lost as to how to fix the pic issue.

The signatures not showing up on previous posts is a glitch I believe. I'll look into that.

The image isn't, and it's the same problem we were having with your pictures last week... who knows

                              I have to agree....

...that the colors are difficult on the eyes. High contrast always does this.
