    Forum Upgrade

    Forum upgrade went well.

Unfortunately any previous modifications were lost. The next admin(s) will need to reconfigure the new forum version for spellcheck and any other customizations.

Looked around for a little in the admin console, lots of new features!

This was my last official duty as admin and owner. I knocked myself down to registered member status. This officially marks the beginning of the new forum ownership .

    Thanks

    Kevin

Thanks for all you did to get this board up and running. I have enjoyed it immensely so far, from the information and posts and banter to the terrific people I have gotten to know.

I know Dick et al will do a fine job from here on out - but you were the creator. A tip of the hat.....

Try signing out, closing your browser, delete you cookies, and then sign back in. Hopefully that should take care of it.

          Thank You.
I had no problem before the new upgrade.

No problem. I had the same thing happen to me after the last forum upgrade.

Is that "Multi-Quote this message" gadget to the right of the quote gadget not working for everyone, or just not working for me?

Once selected you hit reply, and post.

The google ad at the top is finally generating gary and Dick revenue (was waiting on them to start their own googleads account).

I've also resolve some issues with the Green Vbulletin style that occurred when upgrading. The new functions like multi-quote posts has a new button too, and the Green Fourm is customized so I had to create new buttons / icons for a few things. Looks good now without all those empty boxes in the thread.

Good news for the spell check fans - on the upper right when editting or creating a post there's an ABC check mark icon, clicking this will download a free spell check software (internet exploder only) that will seamlessly work with the forum software.

is this upgrade to vBulletin 3.6.2 ? I like the changes.

I like it if is is. I'm still running 3.0.9. I've hesitated on upgrading, cause it seemed like a PITA. Was it?

I was shocked at how many improvements there were in just 2 years .

Most of the process is automated. Main problem was having to re-customize any hacks or improvements you may have made. They improved so many things most every file the forum uses is new, so all prior changes get blown away/reverted in the upgrade.
