    Recovery Fine

For those who keep expressing their concern.......

The surgery went well and the recovery is fine.

In fact better the I could have even hoped. Absolutely no pain, None, Nada,

And I only took one pain killer on Tuesday night when I went to bed as a precaution. I have not taken anything other then penicillin since.

Thanks for your inquiries and phone calls, but trust me, I'm fine. In fact I'm going to go do some grocery shopping today.

I didn't even know that you were sick, Redhawk!
Hope it wasn't anything too serious. Sure am glad that you are feeling better, just the same.

Joanne tells me you were a royal PITA, cried and whined the whole time, and generally made a nuisance of yourself with everyone at the hospital! OK, seriously, glad to hear you made such a speedy recovery, and that pain was minimal.

          Not sick.

Just had all my teeth pulled because of gum disease.

And anyone thinking that I'm defenseless, I can still gum you to death until I get my new teeth.

We use to say that you can tell the tough guys because they have no teeth or new teeth. Gues I qualify now, eh?

Should get my new choppers sometime in late spring.

Well hope you have better luck with your teeth, than my boyfriend did. He had his, all pulled this past Winter, too. Same as you, Gum Disease. Gee, didn't I have a fun time with him! Complained constantly of the food he had to eat, jello, puddings, ice cream etc. Lost quite a bit a weight too, during the process of the new teeth coming. But he could "afford" too.

Well, I'm eating chunk soups, pasta, eggs with lightly toasted bread so far. I'll try a burger tomorrow and see how that works out. Once the stiches are out (next tuesday) I'll start on the chewy foods. I just picked up some of the Doritos Pepperjack and black pepper chips that i love on sale. Going to try those as soon as the stitches are out too.

Know your hungry, Hawk. But Ouch! Doritos with Pepperjack? That should hurt a slight bit, let alone burn a bit too. Think I would wait awhile on them. Guess you know best, what's good for you, than anyone else. Good Luck. But don't push it to fast.

Sounds like you will have gums of iron before long. When, the steak coming?

I'll wait at least a week on the Pepper&Pepperjack Doritos. They were a dollar off so I couldn't resist!! I'll just have to stare at them longingly for a week or so.

All I had left were lowers, my uppers were gone a ong time ago and I could still put an ear of corn or a steak to shame. no nuts though or raw carrots. I can't wait until I get the new teeth. I love pistaschios!!
