    The Obedient Wife

There was a man who had worked all his life, had saved all of his money, and was a real "miser" when it came to his money.

Just before he died, he said to his wife... "When I die, I want you to take all my money and put it in the casket with me. I want to take my money to the afterlife with me."

And so he got his wife to promise him, with all of her heart, that when he died, she would put all of the money into the casket with him.

Well, he died. He was stretched out in the casket, his wife was sitting there - dressed in black, and her friend was sitting next to her. When they finished the ceremony, and just before the undertakers got ready to close the casket, the wife said, "Wait just a moment!" She had a small metal box with her; she came over with the box and put it in the casket.

Then the undertakers locked the casket down and they rolled it away. So her friend said, "Girl, I know you were not fool enough to put all that money in there with your husband." The loyal wife replied, "Listen, I'm a Christian; I cannot go back on my word. I promised him that I was going to put that money into the casket with him."

"You mean to tell me you put that money in the casket with him?"

"I sure did," said the wife. "I got it all together, put it into my account, and wrote him a check. If he can cash it, he can spend it."

Not a bad move but her mistake was in certifying the check.

        Redhawk,

Cute story - maybe I can use it in a sermon sometime! My other reaction is that you must have too much time on your hands! Maybe you need to take a hike!!

I always need to take a hike. Unfortunately circumstances don't always take my needs into consideration.

              the perfect women, true story

This last hike when we were coming back from Avalanche Lake we passed an attractive young couple. The women was leading. Very easy on the eyes, tall, long legs, blond, big smile and very friendly. The guy? I don't rember what he looked like (& really don't care) but he was smiling and seemed happy. I stepped aside, more to rest than to be polite, and watched them pass.

Turning to continue our journey, the plesent sight still fresh in my mind, I walked a few steps then stoped to look back. I just then noticed something that made this women a 10, the perfect women. I couldn't believe it. This is one lucky guy. No wonder he seemed so happy...he didn't have a pack...she was carrying it!

Methinks Rickie stepped aside not to be polite nor to rest but to watch the blonde beauty for a few more seconds. I would have done the same thing.

Partly true but she was really the only person of the two carrying a large day pack, which made this moment stand out.

Probably means she could have kicked your butt Rickie!! Especially if she caught you staring at hers.

The old, "I was admiring your packback" wouldn't fly.

Probably, it was a large pack.

I was impressed that she was carrying it and not him. Lucky guy.

It seems she may be just a little too perceptive to be a perfect 10!!
