If you are in Keene Valley that weekend, stop by Marcy Field and take in the annual Keene Valley Kite Fest, sponsored by East Branch Friends of the Arts, our local arts promotion organization. This will be the 15th year of the Kite Fest. It runs from 10 AM to about 2 PM at Marcy Field, is free, and features a variety of fun entertainment in addition to a lot of kites flying. We have had good luck with the weather most years. This year is tough; it seems to rain every day. But we are praying for good weather (with a light breeze) for 8/6. I hope to see a lot of folks there!
