In another thread, I feigned innocence with regard to lack of paddling thread input. I've been preoccupied with other distractions.
Per Viking's request, here are a few pics and descriptions.
New house screened in back porch
Before, open deck with roof

After, with knee walls and mostly screened in in this pic. Still need skirting below...

1977 Jeep CJ5, I had previously swapped in a DANA 300 transfer case (2.62:1 low range), and subsequently swapped in 4:1 low range gearset. I can now crawl at 1/2 mph at about 1,200 rpm. Very great improvement for technical rock crawling.

I think I've posted this before, but here is a CRV that I bought as an insurance wreck to replace my no longer needed Honda Element.
Hard passenger hit, had to replace quarter panel, sills, rocker panel, B pillar, side curtain air bag, passenger seat air bag, both PS doors.

Two diesel pusher motorhomes, both insurance wrecks. First one, mild front hit that punched a hole in front cap and crushed the 7.5 Kw diesel generator.
I cut off half of the front cap to rebuild it, removed and repaired the generator, and a whole raft of other secondary damage throughout the 40 ft coach.

Pay attention to the open framing on the carport in the background...

This pic from just before I sold it for a tidy profit.

Let's jump back to the house for a minute, here's the carport all soffited and finished, including wrapping the posts.

And a couple more finishing the new house...I made and installed all the trim, built the cabinets, yada yada yada

Oops, forgot about the other motorhome, 38 ft diesel pusher Tiffin, totaled due to electrical fire. Didn't start, run or drive.
Had it running in 3-1/2 hours, paid 1/4 of its value. Just took a 2,000 mile trip in it, worked flawlessly.
Oh, it also had a 2-1/2 sag in the rear end of the coach, a common problem for this brand due to poor welds and non existent engineering.

Sewed a batch of bike shorts...all Coolmax lycra, $40 in material made 4 pair of shorts and one long pair for cooler weather. No pading, I prefer my calluses. Each pair compares in cost to $80 shorts.

Jeez, I almost forgot. My son bought enough carbon fiber, fiberglass, resin and Divinycell to make 4 carbon copies of an old Sawyer that no one wanted to carry, but everyone wanted to paddle.
This week we'll stick the stiffening foam in place and add a single layer of 6 oz on the inside. Then it's up to the individual recipients to add trim of their choice. In this first hull, that's my anonymous nephew.

There's still plenty more of these, uhhmm, distractions, but honestly, I'm getting tired of uploading and linking pics.
So how about everyone else?
Are you as "distracted" as me?
