Since we're on a pike topic. How do you folks out there in forum land cook these toothy, bony critteres? I fillet them, then put them through a food processor and make fish cakes. Same goes with pickerel. Little bread crumbs, egg, shallots, hot sauce. mmm mmm.

ive had success in long lake....
i had the monster of all monsters follow my line in while fishing from the boat launch....biggest fish i have ever seen in freshwater..followed my lime green plastic worm with jig head until i had nothing left to reel in and then i could do nothing but watch it swim back away......needless to say i must have casted there for about an hour with no more results....this was back in the early ninties..... i had 4 pound line on with no leader (just got back from brookie fishing) so i'm sure i would have lost him anyways even if he took the bait
