Thanks, Garmin Legend Etrex GPS. It is a early model with blk and white. For what it is, it worked okay. The signal would fade in tree cover obviously, but worked as expected. Would I prefer a different model -- of course, but most are way out of my price range if any price.

Interesting. How do you manage the 'proof of sex' rule? I was told you have to leave proof of sex until it's out of the woods?

If it has horns what more proof would anyone need? Although, in very rare incidences does have grown horns. I usually just leave the penis attached and haven't had any cases of questioning. But it could happen.

Thanks, Robin. I didn't make it up to 5 Ponds Wilderness this year but if I ever get a small motorboat I might be able to. The paddle into Janacks would be too much for all of my gear. Sorry, to hear you didn't get your buck. But being in the area your in is worth the trip I think. Always a great paddle I bet!
