I was fortunate to bag a 4 point with the muzzle loader last week. Not in the park but just south of it. I went out 3 times and saw deer all three times. This is my first muzzle loader deer so I am happy. Now that I have a venison supply I will hold out for a "substantial" buck during the gun season. I usually do nearly all my hunting in the vicinity of Tupper Lake but this year am hunting closer to home due to some home improvement work going on at my home--some by me and some by contractors. Priorities--tough to manage sometimes!

Congratulations EagleCrag. Glad you were successful. Good luck on the rest of your deer season and the goal of a "substantial" buck. Even your 4 pointer is a trophy. Well done.

EC, Congrats! Meat in the freezer! Changes perspective on the rest of the season in a good way.

some days I can see Eagle Craig from where I hunt. You shoot anything back by burnt or haystack mountain and see another hunter give a shout i'll help ya get it out, But it will cost you a ride home. congrats on the muzzleloader buck

Couldn't agree more! I was fortunate to take a bull moose last month on a hunt to the Northern Peninsula of Newfoundland. Needless to say the freezer is full. With a week up in Northern Ontario the first week in November and a week in the Adirondacks during Thanksgiving, I'll be on the look out for a "substantial" buck as well.

Congrats EC on the smoke pole buck.
