I see them occasionally along Rt 30 between Wells and Speculator if that helps.

They're always some hanging out along the roadside. The trick is to find out where they sleep and move in the woods, before they move out into roadside or populated areas.

Went to Siamese Ponds Wilderness this weekend and saw 2 hens and heard a gobbler

On my return from Cedar Lake a week ago I saw a hen on the Military Road just above the intersection with the Jessup River Road. It was odd watching it walk away into a wet lowland alder thicket.
