Tioga Point Campground Parking?

A couple buddies & I have a lean-to reserved at the Tioga Point Campground for early June, and Iím wondering where the best place is to launch our motorboat & park our trucks & trailer for two nights... Can we utilize the launch & parking at Golden Beach Campground or do we have to use the launch & parking in the village of Raquette Lake?
Any other suggestions?
Just trying to get the logistics in order... one of us will be driving from northern Vermont, so the closer for him the better.

We rented a boat from Burke's Marina and parked there. Perhaps they will let you park if you use the launch.

Thanks for the reply,
Burkeís is located in between Golden Beach & the village of Raquette Lake, correct?
Did you park overnight?
Price for 2 night parking?

Can you launch and park in the village near the Tap Room/store?

I know there is a public launch, but not sure about the parking for two nights with two trucks & one boat trailer. I will be sure to call & ask when the campgrounds opens, just thought Iíd ask around so we can get a jump on our plans.

They let us park for free, but we rented a 16' aluminum and a kayak from them. Give them a shout and they may let you park there in exchange for using the launch. You're right that it's between the campground and town.

It seems the town can get jam packed full of cars so it could be a 2nd option.

There may be specific exceptions, but as a general rule- if you're paying for overnight use at any campground, you should be able to access any other campground during the duration of your stay at the first campground without paying any additional fee.

Is there a launch on North Point Road by any chance?

We camped here this past weekend for our first boat in camp adventure. We parked at Golden Beach campground and made our way up and to the right to make it to Tioga point. I just wanted to post out there that you can park for free at Golden Beach campground right at the beach rather than looking for parking in town at Raquette lake. Lean-to's here are well built and some are in groups of 3 and some are on the water alone. Great destination and adventure to get there. Worth the trip. Thanks Autumn for the great hospitality.

There isn't a true launch site on North Point Rd. but there is the canoe carry that comes over from Forked Lake. Unfortunately, there really isn't any parking there either; although there does seem to be an overflow area up by the bridge the crosses the river where it comes out of Raquette Lake.

Depending on what you need, there is a public launch site in the village with limited parking near the water and around the library. I believe I've seen signs stating there is a fee to launch that can be paid at the store or tap room.

For what it's worth, I'd call Golden Beach to see about parking there since you're already going to a state camping area.

That's all for now. Take care and until next time....be well.
