Almost time!
Bruce Monroe dropped off a couple of this year's prizes: Suhweet lookin' GoLite Packs, EMS Gearbucks Cards, and assorted other wunnerful stuff. Now I gotta figure out how to get it handed out during the Festival, so I'm not hanging on to a bunch of things in bags with names pasted to them for weeks.
Planning on the usual photo contest - it generates some great pics (speaking of which, Jeff Peck, you coming?), Bouldering contest of course, and as with last year, some random giveaways and spontaneously-created categories.
Forecast looks good so far; I've begun posting it on the Main Website.

Jay, I got a real nice set of holds from http://www.rockcandyholds.com/ and a T-shirt. As well as the 2 Nalgene bottles and gregory chalk bag left over from the http://www.accessfund.org/site/c.tmL....BDBB/Home.htm event we did last year. Oh and a C4 #2 Gold cam from http://www.srcfc.org/.

I might have to give Rocky a bath before this weekend.

Awesome rock fest! It was great to spend an entire weekend climbing and, when not climbing, talking about climbing. There was a big turn-out this year; met a lot of new people and got reacquainted with some from past events.

Thanks to everyone who organized, donated stuff, provided food, gave presentations and introduced us to the beautiful crags in the Lake George area. (I would mention names but I'm afraid I'll forget someone.) I had a great time.

Fantastic Time!

Wow, the view from high on Shelving Rock Cliff during Saturday's climbathon was stellar. Snow-white boat wakes on deep blue water, a gemstone clear sky, wonderful climbing and more wonderful climbing companions.
Friday Night's Bang-Off BBQ, SRCFC's 2-time Spaghetti Dinner (was I the only double-dipper?), Tom R's Pumori show, Jeremy Haas' Guidebook Review, Mitch Hoffman's Caroga Preview, and the Hang-On Pack at Stewart's today were simply great additions to what ranks as one of the best days of climbing I've ever had.
Chris V, I thought my crag had better climbing and just lacked your stellar backdrop, but Grin and Bear It gets my vote for great moves, too.
...Thank you to all!

Ra came up to Shelving & snapped some scenics, and I saw some other shutterbugs clickin' away...so yeah, hopefully we see some good pics cropping up soon.
