Site 3 was very nice, beautiful sandy section of beach, great for wading out to cool off and swim. It is a bit close to Site 2 (which was not near as nice), as primitive sites go, but other than that we had no complaints. One of the sites further north (5 maybe?) also has a sand beach, if I recall. I've read elsewhere that the sites on the west side are generally not as nice, but I did not personally check any of them out. Good luck!

I assume you're referring to Round Lake near Little Tupper...
I camped at site #10 last summer which wasn't too bad. The only drawback was I could hear the generator at Little Tupper Headquarters all weekend. In fact, it's hard to escape it on a calm day... http://www.adkforum.com/showthread.p...ighlight=Round

If it's the Round Lake near Little Tupper I liked the one at the north end just to the east of the outlet. On a hill overlooking the lake with a beach. Great spot!

A good rule of thumb is that all of the best sites are on the east side (right side, going in).
