Ice Conditions on Crane Mtn.

Sitting inside, keeping warm today. Figured this is a good task to accomplish.

General Observations
Lotta snow, expect anything WI2 or less to be snow-covered. Wear snowshoes.

SW Flank
Wayout Wall: unchecked. Too far of a slog to get to.
Outlet Falls: climbed bottom pitch several weeks ago; this was very fat. Remember, these are on private property. Do not mess up the ski trails.

Beaverview Area Routes
Dark Speed: Unclimbed so far this year. Looked extremely skinny down low (always is); sun-baked and skinny up high.
Rifle Line: Snow-slogging with a lot of excavation for pick placements.
Draw Blood: Doable, skinny.

Trailside Routes
Summit Trail is now snow-covered enough to do without crampons.
Tablerock Corner: unclimbed; looked decent, though thin and sun-baked.
Trailside Slab: Almost entirely a snow-slog.

BAW Path Area
The trail is broken only to Wedding Cake.
Red Pine Ridge: unchecked. Probably a huge snow-slog to get to and ascend.
Measles Wall Ice: Doable, all of them have thin spots near top or bottom. See my blog post for information.
Wedding Cake: Left side in pretty good, right side direct would be mixed. Right-side skirt doable.
Eyebrow Ice: Near-complete Snow-slog.
Sola Gratia: has not yet formed. Doesn't look likely to do so this season.
Immigrant Song: unchecked since FA; probably fine.
DR Drip: Unchecked, but probably good.

BAW Ice
BAW Portal: Doable, good on the steep part, thin on the slab above.
Isobuttress Left: Decent, a few thin hollow spots.
Crystal Breeze: unchecked, probably fine with snow-slogging in the midsection.
Hunt & Peck: unchecked.

Nether Regions (lower side of the SE Flank)
Waterfall Wall: Fine, a lot of steep snow. Tempest variation is almost the only exposed ice. Upper pitch hasn't been led since the thaw; looks doable now.
Fifi's Frozen Fingers: Excellent.
Tier Drops: Starting pitch is gone. Upper pillars look great - just how to get to 'em?
By Golly Gully: Snow-slog.
NE Cascade: Snow-slog on right, good steep ice on left.
Leap of Faith: unchecked.
